As you might know, I’ve imported a little van last year from @kizunaautoexport_com. Converting it at the moment brings me so much joy! And made me into a bit of a carpenter 😆 We’ve already brought it out on a few weekend trips this year. Never thought I’d be getting a car from Japan but, honestly, I’d do it again. The toughest bit was actually the paperwork here in Ireland, not bringing the van over. In fact, buying & getting the van shipped was really easy & straightforward with lots of help from the agent on the Tokyo side. Shipping & insurance is included in the price you see. The only thing you need to make sure you get, is the CO2-emissions cert, otherwise you’ll end up in the highest tax bracket here 🫣… If anyone is thinking of importing a car from Japan, I’m happy to give you all the info I acquired while doing it myself. I think it’s worth it even with the fees one has to pay after importing it. Might get a hybrid car too down the line, dooooown the line 😅
